Walk of Fame Selection Panel

At the Ordinary Meeting of Council held on 22 January, Council voted to appoint members to the Northam Walk of Fame Selection Panel as per the Shire of Northam’s Recognition of High Achievers Policy.

Due to the level of interest shown from community members lodging Expressions of Interest, Council resolved to change the adopted Policy to allow for 2 community members and 1 proxy to be appointed to the panel.

Panel Members selected were:
Andrew Quin
Eric Chamberlain
Michelle Blackhurst (Proxy)

Appointments to the panel have been set at a period of three (3) years. Those who put forward an EOI but were not selected this year are eligible to re-apply in future rounds of recruitment when the current positions become vacant.

We will be opening nominations for the first round of nominees in the near future and encourage community members to put any names forward they feel are worthy of inclusion into the walk of fame.

Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest in sitting on this panel, it was great to see so many passionate locals wanting to be involved, and congratulations to our selected Panel Members- with the wealth of local knowledge we're lucky enough to have the panel, we're sure the decisions are in good hands!
