Adopt-a-Spot
It’s Never Been Easier to Adopt-a-Spot and help keep our community beautiful!
Do you ever feel frustrated by the sight of litter in your local streets, parks, or public spaces? Why not take action and adopt a spot and volunteer to help keep a spot litter-free?
What is Adopt-a-Spot?
Adopt-a-Spot is an inspiring anti-litter initiative that empowers volunteers - whether individuals, community groups, or local businesses - to take ownership of a specific area and keep it litter-free. Clean-up sites can include streets, parks, roadsides*, bush trails, wetlands, and waterways.
When you sign up, you commit to looking after your chosen location for two years. In return, Keep Australia Beautiful WA provides everything you need to succeed:
- Free Clean-Up Kit (gloves, bags, and other tools)
- Official adoption certificate
- Recognition on the Keep Australia Beautiful Honour Roll
Participants are also encouraged to report issues such as illegal dumping, graffiti, or property damage using the Shire’s Snap Send Solve app.
