The Shire of Northam will be in the PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD from December 1 2024. All burning is strictly prohibited during this time and all signs of smoke/fire should be reported to 000 immediately.

EVACUATION CENTRE OPEN - Northam Recreation Centre

The Shire of Northam has set up an evacuation centre at Northam Recreation Centre, 44 Peel Terrace, Northam.

Please take any essential items such as medications and identification to the evacuation centre.

Pets (except recognised assistance animals) are not allowed inside evacuation centres for health and safety reasons, so you should make alternative arrangements for them.
