The Shire of Northam wishes to advise that due to improved fire weather conditions the OPEN BURNING PERIOD is now in effect as of 12:00pm on 03 May 2024.

Notice is hereby given for public information that the Shire of Northam, at its Ordinary Council Meeting held on the 18th May 2022, resolved to advertise the draft proposed amendments to the Heritage List for public comment in accordance with the provisions of Local Planning Scheme No 6.
The draft amended Heritage List proposes to include an additional 27 properties identified as having local significance and warranting inclusion following a recent review of the current List and Local Heritage Survey.
A copy of the Draft Amended Heritage List, Draft Place Records and accompanying information sheet can be viewed on the Shire of Northam’s website at www.northam.wa.gov.au.
Comments in relation to the draft amendments will be accepted by the Shire of Northam, in writing, until close of business on 4pm Tuesday 14th June 2022.
