Due to a recent increase in the number of rooster complaints from Wundowie residents, the Shire of Northam would like to reiterate that the keeping of roosters in townsites is not permitted, as per the Health Amended Local Law 2018.
It should be noted that Wundowie is a country townsite and is sensitive to unreasonable noise and the harmful effects it can have on a person's health and wellbeing.
Further information on the keeping of poultry can be found on the Shire of Northam website. Physical copies will be made available at the Wundowie Library.
