Adopt-a-Spot Information Session & Clean-Up

Join us for an Adopt-a-Spot Information Session and Clean Up at Bernard Park!

Are you keen to make a difference to the Shire of Northam streetscapes, rivers, bushland and parks?

The Shire is looking for volunteers like you to join us in minimising litter along the Avon River by joining the “Adopt-A-Spot” Program through Keep Australia Beautiful and adopt an area to keep litter free!

Volunteers can be individuals, families, community groups, schools or businesses (or anyone else!) who want to make a positive environmental impact. A litter free community promotes a safer community and has both ecological and economic benefits!

Meet us at the Bernard Park Sound Shell on the 26 March 2025 and join in a 45-minute community clean up around Bernard Park and along the river – the clean-up starts at 4.30pm.

Join us afterwards for an informal chat and information session about the “Adopt-a-Spot” Program and enjoy some 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 catering kindly being provided by Keep Australia Beautiful.

Please ensure you are wearing enclosed shoes, a hat and bring some water!

Gloves, bags and litter collecting equipment will be provided.
