Restricted Burning Period

A reminder that the Shire of Northam will be moving to a Restricted Burning Period as of 12:00am 8th October 2024.
 
📝 Important Guidelines for when the Restriction comes into effect:
• Permits to Burn are Required: If you plan to burn on your property, you must obtain a permit. When permits can be obtains, information will be released.
• Burning Allowances: During the Spring Restricted Period, properties over 2000m² and outside the gazetted townsite may burn a single pile (up to 1m³) of garden refuse (dry leaves, small branches, offcuts, etc.) between 6 PM and 11 PM.
• No Campfires: Please refrain from having campfires during this time.
• Fire Danger Rating: No burning is permitted when the Fire Danger Rating is “HIGH” or above.
