Proposed Demolition of Former Playgroup Building (Closed)

The Shire of Northam is considering the demolition of the former Northam Playgroup Building located at Bernard Park, Minson Avenue, Northam.

Council is considering this action for a number of reasons:

1. The building is no longer in use;
2. The significant capital costs associated with bringing the building up to a suitable standard;
3. Ongoing costs associated with a building which has no specific use;
4. Further development of Bernard Park precinct; and
5. The building having no identified heritage significance.

Prior to the demolition of the building, Council is seeking comments and input from the Community, which we are asking you to provide in writing to the Chief Executive Officer at [email protected] or PO Box 613, Northam WA 6401 by 5:00pm on 27^th November 2020.
