The Shire of Northam would like to advise the Public to temporarily avoid ALL forms of water contact activities in the Avon River for both humans and animals, this includes swimming, kayaking, wading and fishing.
This is a precautionary measure due to the stagnant water in the Avon River prior to the onset of winter rains.
