Proposed Disposal of Property - Northam Airport

Proposed Disposal of Land pursuant to section 3.58(3) of the Local Government Act 1995

 

The Shire of Northam gives notice of its intent to dispose of the following land by lease in accordance with section 3.58(3) of the Local Government Act 1995:

 

  • Northam Airport Hangar Site 4 - Renewal and extension of lease to 30 June 2030, comprising of 180 square metres to NSJ Superannuation Pty Ltd as Trustee for Gudgeon Family Superannuation Fund for the purposes of a recreational aircraft hangar. The proposed disposal price is $5.50 per square metre which is consistent with the valuation obtained on 7 April 2022 and the standard rate set by Council on 20 July 2022.
  • Northam Airport Hangar Site 5 - Renewal and extension of lease to 30 June 2030, comprising of 180 square metres to Marley’s Transport for the purposes of a recreational aircraft hangar. The proposed disposal price is $5.50 per square metre which is consistent with the valuation obtained on 7 April 2022 and the standard rate as set by Council on 20 July 2022.
  • Northam Airport Hangar Site 31 – Variation to lease area comprising of an additional of 16 square metres to Liberty Balloon Flights Pty Ltd for the purposes of a commercial aircraft hangar. The proposed disposal price is $6.00 per square metre which is consistent with the valuation obtained on 7 April 2022 and the standard rate set by Council on 20 July 2022.

 

Written submissions in respect of the proposed disposal may be lodged until Friday, 2 December 2022.
