Ray Head Memorial - Apex Park

On Friday, a heartfelt gathering took place in Apex Park as Julie Head, along with Shire staff, Councillors, family, and friends, celebrated the unveiling of a memorial park bench dedicated to Ray Head. The bench, thoughtfully placed on the site of an old wishing well, holds special significance as it is in close proximity of where Julie and Ray captured their wedding photos.

A few stories were shared of a hardworking, caring and dedicated individual whose contributions left a lasting impact on the community.

Raymond Head, sadly passed away on 10 October, 2014. He dedicated 25 years of his life to serving as a Councillor & Mayor, achieving significant milestones such as leading the successful merger of the Town of Northam and the Shire of Northam local governments in 2007.
